Love & Respect

Giving love and respect is something that can be very difficult for us to do for our spouses because we always seem to put conditions on our love and respect. We always seem to come up with some reason as to why we don't just do this for our spouse and regardless of the countless things we come up with as to why we don't do this enough, give it a really good try over the next few days with your primary focus being on glorifying God. At some point we have to allow grace in our hearts and believe that our spouse is worth it and giving them the very same grace that Christ gives us on a daily basis when we struggle with sin. I think you will be surprised at the difference it will make in your relationship when your spouse notices that grace and the gentleness that's represented when it happens. If this is something that you will struggle with and just aren't sure how you can approach this with your spouse...........pray. Pray and ask God for comfort and humility or anything else that you feel is keeping you from accomplishing this. Remember that God knows your heart and also knows what you want before you ask, he just asks us to ask Him for it.
